My Morning Surprise (w/Last Chance to Kickstart)
I woke up this morning to a large backer donation from a childhood friend, and it literally brought a few tears to my eyes. It’s not the size of the donation (though it was quite generous), but rather the friend who took me by surprise. I’ve known him since junior high. He’s not someone I hung out with a lot, but someone I always liked. You know the friends who give you a good feeling in your chest, and when you think of them it’s with all the goodness? That kind of friend. He’s not queer, as far as i know. Just wanted to be supportive.
I remember hearing someone on the socials say, “you’ll be surprised who shows up” and they were right. Putting yourself out there is scary, and interesting. And I’m delighted at who from my past and present have come out to cheer me on. I’m filled with gratitude and wonder. And I find that instead of being scared to read at a book event I’m looking forward to the faces I might see in the crowd. Yes I said crowds. Look at me not being afraid to say crowds. #womanifesting

Spicy & Steamy Book Event in Utrecht was amazing!
This Saturday we tabled at the Spicy and Steamy Book Event in Utrecht. It was large, and full of brilliant romance writers and readers. These people WERE PREPARED. They were hauling those granny carts for their haul of books. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite authors from the event in the coming weeks. In the meantime, here are some photos.
