I’M SO SORRY — I FECKED UP LAST WEEK!
In the chaos of the move, I simply did not realize what time it was. We are up and running again and I will for sure be there Wednesday morning/afternoon/night (which for me is today).
We are moved now and things are more settled. Again, I apologize for the flakeiness
Seeking ease to help achieve that writing life
We moved (but still in the same town)! We moved houses AND we are also in the middle of moving from a home office to an office in a coworking space—which is blessedly in the same building as our new apartment. #modernliving.
See that cute chandelier? We installed that. It’s crooked. We will fix it. The other two look great but you will have to take my word for it.
This is me writing this email(so meta) in our new dining room. I should be in the new office next week! That’s Fluffy on my right, contemplating the view.
Every move brings us one step closer to our writers’ life. One of the reasons why we move—in fact it’s usually the driving factor, as we actually move a lot—is that Grover and I are committed to taking steps as often as is feasible towards more ease in our lives. Our ultimate goal is to be full-time writers. It’s a slow offramp from the corporate life—one that includes corporate consulting and making compromises—that has been over 10 years in the making and will be at least another 3-5. But with the €700 we are saving in rent (we were living in a surprisingly boughie area—you can tell by the number of botox clinics nearby)—we will now have the ability to write our romance novels without our kids walking in and reading over our shoulders because we will have a 2-person office that locks and is available 24 hours a day to us. Also we can run our consulting business in an environment that is geared towards networking. Which is great.
And right now I’m just writing in my dining room until our office move-in date.
Moving sucks. Baby steps rock.
Wednesday (today) is Co-Writing Day. I will for sure be there this time.
